Games With Gold, PS Plus Freebies For November 2016

PS

November has come, Winter is creeping up on us, and Pumpkin Spice harasses sinuses all throughout the western PS world. What a lovely time for more free games from Sony and Microsoft.

Even if this month isn’t particularly amazing, there are some cool offers here that are easily worth the few button presses and bandwidth to enjoy.

Here are the November PS Plus offerings with Sony once again showing footage of only two of the six…

  • Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture – PS4
  • The Deadly Tower Of Monsters – PS4
  • Dirt 3 – PS3
  • Costume Quest 2 – PS3
  • Letter Quest Remastered – PS4, PS Vita
  • Pumped BMX+ – PS4, PS3, PS Vita

I’m really liking the variety this month with Sony. I’ve always had an interest in EGTTR and so finally being able to get my hands on it is a great feeling. Deadly Tower seems like a really bizarre, stylized adventure equally worth checking out, so I must admit that I am quite fond of the headliners.

However, Costume Quest 2 and Pumped BMX are both throwaway as far as I’m concerned, though I’ll probably give Letter Quest Remastered a try, because who doesn’t love word games? Probably many…

With that said, here are the Games With Gold offerings for November.

    • Super Dungeon Bros – Xbox One
    • Murdered: Soul Suspect  – Xbox One
    • Monkey Island: SE – Xbox 360
    • Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon – Xbox 360

While Sony had some nice variety, I have to hand it to Microsoft for giving us a pretty great month. I’ve played Blood Dragon numerous times now but it is still one of the best standalone expansions ever released in my opinion so that alone is a great addition.

Beyond that, Murdered, a game probably nobody reading this has played, stands as a perfect sort of game for this program. It went completely under the radar and didn’t get critical acclaim from reviewers.

Rounding out Microsoft’s offerings is Super Dungeon Bros, the biggest throw away from either program and Monkey Island, one of the greatest adventure games that ever existed. Need I say more?
